Common symptom presentations include:
  • Depressed mood
  • Anxiety
  • Relationship/attachment challenges
  • Job issues
  • Self-worth
  • Perfectionism
  • Post-traumatic stress
  • Grief
  • Shame and regret
  • Panic attacks
  • Emotional dysregulation
Specific populations I am equipped to serve include:
  • First responders
  • Neurodivergent folks (AD/HD, Autism)
  • Those who have experienced preconscious trauma (before we can remember), such as adoption, domestic violence, abuse, and neglect
  • Clients seeking Christian counselling
  • Clients who have been injured by organized religion and faith groups
  • Fellow psychologists and other mental health therapists

RELATIONSHIP COUNSELING

We all struggle at times in our relationships, and sometimes we benefit from the support of a neutral third party to help us navigate those challenges. I am honored to support adults and teens with relationship challenges, including couples, siblings, and friendships.
Therapy might focus on:
  • Communication styles
  • Conflict resolution
  • Note: I do not work with high conflict relationships
  • Trust rebuilding
  • Perspective taking
  • Changing parent/child dynamics as teens transition to adulthood
  • Attachment styles
  • Personality differences
  • Boundary setting

CONSULTATION SERVICES FOR EMDR THERAPISTS

As an EMDRIA Approved Consultant I offer consultation services to other EMDR therapists. Because Basic Training is of short duration, it is extremely important to continue to develop one’s skills and knowledge. There are three main types of consultation:
  • General Consultation
This is an opportunity for EMDR therapists of all levels of skill and experience to further develop their skills. I strive to create a safe place for therapists to ask questions, wrestle through difficult cases, and to further develop their knowledge of case conceptualization, treatment planning, and special protocols.

SUPERVISION OF PROVISIONAL PSYCHOLOGISTS

I am available to act as an external supervisor for Provisional Psychologists.
I would be an excellent fit for:
  • someone whose niche will be EMDR Therapy with adults and teens
  • someone seeking to work with adults and teens using an eclectic approach grounded in:
    • Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy
    • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
    • Solution-Focused Therapy
    • Person-Centered Therapy

I am also happy to offer support as a secondary supervisor for provisionals who have completed EMDR Basic Training, and whose primary supervisor is not EMDR trained. Please note that supervision hours cannot be counted toward EMDRIA Certification.
